THE FUTURE OF BIG BOHOS!!!!?????

I find myself pondering on the point of this website quite often. I don't think there is TOO much of an audience here, although I can expect most articles to reach a good number of people eventually. But people stumbling into this website likely won't remember bohos.bigbohos.com two years from now, and that's fine. For this reason, though, I have been quite conflicted on what exactly to do with this website. Should I stick with what I've always been doing, or would it be better to switch to something more relevant and interesting to my adult life? It's difficult to say for sure.

This site was originally designed as somewhere to host a bunch of stupid shitposts me and my friends would make in high school, and eventually pivoted into more of a video game news and hobby blog. I do still enjoy discussing and keeping up with these things, but video games are far from pressing matters to me anymore. Even subjects I am more passionate about now, like music and other artforms, seem a bit out of place unless I were to stick to the more zany, ironic, or post-modern works of the mediums. Essentially, what I'm saying is that the original point of this site was to be funny, but part of growing up is stiffening up, and I really don't have the energy or desire to always have a wisecrack at the ready like I once did. Of course, I still enjoy humor, as any human being should, but as any good comedian knows, you can only play the same bit so many times before it gets old. This website has existed for around 7 years now, and most of that time has been spent on dead air and dead memes. It's not like the articles are "better" just because they're less frequent, so I really feel like I should start using this site more for myself and spend less time worrying about whether people will care.

So if you are a regular visitor of this site, you can expect some slightly drier, but hopefully just as interesting subject matter covered on this site. I still play video games every now and then, and the other Bohos do as well, so there will certainly still be articles on the matter. I expect to talk more about albums and books and other artwork that interests me on here as well, and I will probably discuss some more real life topics as well. Cheers y'all.
